After starting brackets are chosen, break into 2 man parties, take five minutes to get to know your partner, discuss strategy, ensure that you are in the specialization declared at sign in and make any gear/talent/glyph changes that you feel appropriate. Then the various teams will be begin battle by one of the team captains targeting the opposing team captain, opening their Group Finder, open the "PvP" tab at the bottom, select "wargames" on the left, and then selecting "All Arenas" from the bottom of the list on the right. Please ensure that "Tournament Rules" remains unchecked.
Single elimination- best 2 of 3 advances. Starting brackets and each bracket thereafter will play a minimum of two matches with the best of three moving on.
In the event that 1 player of a team becomes unavailable for play for a period of 20 minutes or more, a substitute player may be chosen by lottery from a pool formed from guild members not currently active in matches, including previously eliminated players.
If both original players to a team become unavailable for play for a period exceeding 20 minutes then they will forfeit their position and the opposing team will automatically advance to the next round.
All players and spectators please respect team privacy. Do not interrupt other players in voice communications or via extraneous messaging in game.
If viewing a match in "Spectator Mode" or by any other means please refrain from contacting any of the players involved by any means. Disseminating any information about a team or party member to an opposing team or party member while a match is in progress, by any means, will not be tolerated.
"Spectator Mode" will be attempted for the final bracket matches and should be available to watch LIVE by members of the OiC party.
Deathmatches are intended as a tool to meet new people in the guild, learn new skills and foster a sense of community. Keep in mind that they have no bearing on honor, conquest, rating or ladder position.
Keep it friendly, keep it fun!
